Description

DescriptionRear of building from Glebe Road. A residence is believed to have been built on the site in the early 1850s, this building may have been constructed ca. 1890. 'Originally named 'Caerleon, it was the home of the Summerville family. William Summerville was chief magistrate of Ipswich. It was later owned by another solicitor Harry Simpson and later still, became an aged persons home' (Information taken from Ipswich City Council, Heritage Trail No. 3.) It has been renovated and as of 2011 was a private residence.
