Description

DescriptionWhen the photograph was taken it was most likely known as the Goodna Community Centre. It is currently (2014) the Goodna Neighbourhood House and prior to 1976 when the Goodna Community bought at a cost of $20,000, it was known as the Oddfellows Hall. It was apparently built in the 1890s for the Goodna Oddfellows Society known as the Loyal Rose of Denmark Lodge with Goodna residents holding community meetings and events in the hall regularly. In 2005 it was renovated by the Department of Housing at a cost of $394,000, in 1986 it had been partially burnt down.
