DescriptionBrisbane Road entrance to the Hotel Kerwick. The Hotel is on the corner of Brisbane Road and Kerwick Streets, opposite the Redbank Railway Station. Attached to the Hotel is the ‘Mark Down Sellers’ Bottle Shop. "The Kerwick is named after Nicholas Kerwick who was born in Kilkenny Ireland but spent most of his youth in the north of England. He came to Ipswich and worked on the Brisbane Valley Railway line, then lived at Redbank for several years. Later he became the licensee of the One Mile Hotel.
