DescriptionInside St Mary's Catholic Church for wedding service. Denis Flannery was named in the 'Queensland Rugby League's Team of the Century'. Denis Flannery, from Ipswich was an Australian representative for Rugby League during the 1950s. He made his debut for Queensland in 1948 and with the Kangaroo tour in 1950. He retired after the Kangaroo Tour of 1956-1957. Norma was the daughter of Dan Dempsey (O'Dempsey), who was an Ipswich player who represented Queensland and Australia and was named in the '100 Greatest Players, 1908-2007' list by the National Rugby League.
