DescriptionThe Marburg Sugar Mill was started in 1882 by Thomas Lorimer Smith, who also built Woodlands. In 1905 the Mill was sold to the Gibson family, experienced sugar farmers and mill owners who operated Bingera Plantation near Bundaberg. The mill closed in 1918. (Information from: R.
