DescriptionBelieved to be the eighth or ninth house to be built in Goodna. Bought by E.S. Thomas, the local owner of the first bakehouse and shop in Goodna. His wife was Marion, nee French. E.S. Thomas was a local Councillor on the then Moreton Shire Council, a Justice of the Peace and a pastor to the Goodna Congregational Church. The name Penhelyg comes from the village in Wales from which E.S. Thomas migrated. Young of ₤175.0.0. on 26 May 1898 for part payment of purchase of residence from E. Thomas for full cost of ₤317.10.0.
