DescriptionEdward Samuel Thomas bought Penhelyg in 1898, local owner of the first bakehouse and shop in Goodna. His wife was Marion, nee French. E.S. Thomas was a local Councillor on the then Moreton Shire Council, a Justice of the Peace and a pastor to the Goodna Congregational Church. The name Penhelyg comes from the village in Wales from which E.S. Thomas migrated.
