DescriptionThe Goodna Pillar of Courage (flood marker) was unveiled in Alf Harris Park on 11 January 2012 by Prime Minister Julia Gillard, Premier Anna Bligh, Mayor Paul Pisasale and Governor Penelope Wensley. Over 200 people attended the memorial service.
The monument marks six major floods that have hit Goodna since 1890 with each flood level marked by a different colour.

In 1893 there were two floods two weeks apart. Purple marks the first flood and green the second.
