Gordon Cameron worked as a Cooper at Joseph Fleming's Mills in 1854. He later ran a large grocery shop in Brisbane Street, Ipswich and he was an Alderman from 1869 to 1871.
In 1864, Gordon was living in Bell Street and by 1892 he was at 'Yaamba' in South Street, Ipswich. Gordon died at Southport on 17 February 1912.
