DescriptionAn account of the fire by the photographer of this series, Gordon Ross:

'Our home was at 6 Adina St Raceview. On the morning after the fire we awoke to the smell of burnt fabric, so I went outside, into the backyard to investigate. The yard had soot sprinkled across it. At that time we heard on the radio Reid's had burnt down, so we grabbed my camera and drove into town to investigate.'
