FURNITURE:
B.W. Coles kindly let us use 3 items of furniture for our display. 1 embroidered rocking chair, a sun-lounger and a small white plastic table.

DOLLS:
Cost $89.88
Coralie Napier, Flo Pierpoint and Lily made 2 calicoe [sic.] dolls for us at the cost of materials only, no charge for labour.
A present was given to each of the ladies for their kindness.

CHIRSITMAS TREE
A white plastic Christmas tree was purchased from Macdonald and East (Ipswich) at a cost of $15.00. (It was decorated with red bows and red balls).

PINE CONES:
The Council Gardeners gave us a couple of bags of pine cones which we sprayed with santa snow and attached to tinsel and they were hung from the ceiling surrounding the front counter, the display area and above the Large Print and along outer edge of the junior library.

BALLOONS:
A couple of bags of balloons were purchased and more were donated by P[?] and Narelle. They were inflated by use of Narelle's vacumn cleaner. 2 clusters of red, white and green balloons were hung down the aisle, Yellow and orange ones were hung down the aisle. Yellow and orange ones were hung above the Australian Christmas display. And a couple of smaller bunches were hung throughout the library.

FIREPLACE:
Pam and Rob Anderson let us use an old fireplace which belongs to them and it was an original old fireplace, they also included a stand with various implements on it which was placed in front of the fireplace.

TABLECLOTHS:
A red and a green tablecloth were made out of material which belonged to the library and were then draped over an old cable drum which belonged to Ron Jen.

Candelabra:
Julie's Candelabra was placed on top of the fireplace. Also on the fireplace was a runner belonging to Narelle.

COMPETITION:
A competition was held to guess the number of lollies in a jar.

CHRISTMAS RECIPES:
4 recipes were copied on to different coloured paper and were put in baskets for the customer's.
