Hoepners

Albert Hoepner started a carrying business in 1926. From a small beginning an Ipswich-based  national transport company grew known as Hoepners Transport. It was a family owned business that survived for close to a century.

Albert worked his haulage business for twenty years until his death in 1947. 

The business was located in Mining Street, Bundamba on the banks of Bundamba Creek where the company premises were subjected to flooding on more than one occasion. This was near the corner of Brisbane Road and Mining Street. Often, over the years, the location of the business was described as Brisbane Road, Booval. Hoepners remained here until at least 2013.

Although Hoepners committed to land at Citiswich Business Park in 2011, it is unknown whether they eventually moved there. 

Bunnings now occupies the land at approximately 8 Mining Street which was purchased circa January 2015.
