The Future

Sci Fi movies of the past, and cartoons such as The Jetsons, which aired in the 1960s, predicted many things about what the future could look like. They imagined talking into watches, video calls, conference calls, flat screen televisions, smart houses, flying cars and robot maids. Some of these innovations have actually happened, and others may not be far off becoming a reality.

What does the future hold in store for Ipswich, a city with projected population figures of 279,144 people in 2026, 328,270 in 2031, 386,008 in 2036, 453,875 in 2041 and 533,802 in 2046.
