How Fow
How Fow was summoned before the Ipswich Police Court in March 1864 for absconding from the hired service of John Hanran.
He was hired verbally by John Hanran of the North Star Hotel to work as a cook. How Fow claimed that he was ill but managed to find a fellow countryman to work in his place. He then went to work as a cook for three days at O'Sullivan's hotel. How Fow was fined two pounds and the costs of court.
