Little Ipswich Police Station
Constable Matthew O’Brien was promoted to the rank of Acting Sergeant in late 1922 and was transferred to Wooloongabba where he started work in December of that year. He joined the Police Force c.1906 and was in charge of a number of stations. It was while stationed at Little Ipswich that he was promoted to the rank of Acting Sergeant.
A farewell function was held on 3 February 1923 at the home of Mr. E. Kelly at Churchill where the residents of West Ipswich presented him with a gold watch and Albert chain. His wife was given a gold brooch.
Christopher Charles Ricketts was stationed at Little Ipswich from 1922 to 1924 when he was transferred to Murgon.
Constable J. Ricketts who had been in charge of the Little Ipswich Police Station was presented with a gift the night before his transfer to Murgon in 1925.
Constable George Brazier was stationed at Little Ipswich from 1925 to 1931, then he transferred to Maryborough.
Constable Robert Gorman was stationed at Little Ipswich from 1931 to 1932 and was Acting Sergeant in 1932.
Constable Roy Thomas Costigan was stationed at Little Ipswich from 1932 to approximately 1940.
