Shirley Boughen Daphne Rodgers Mother of Kathryn Shane and Julie and Joyce Rieck OAM were all friends who married in the Rosewood Congregational Church NOW UNITING around 1960. YOU TUBE SEARCH Shane Rodgers Expo Media. Shirley played the Organ for Daphnes and many other Weddings.
She still plays Piano in 2021 at the age of 83.
Kathryn Rodgers was still loving calling in for a chat with Shirley and Daughter Penni in 2021. ALWAYS WELCOMED.
Shirley is prominent in Rosewood Toastmasters. Shirley Boughen 2018 and Joyce Rieck OAM were both Rosewood Citizen of the Year and well liked. Daphne was well respected and did much Voluntary work.
Penni Boughen has studied at the Queensland Conservatorium of Music and also studied Business.
Shirley Boughen told me on 27th April 2021 MUMS BIRTHDAY that this building once housed a plane used for Joy flights. That seems to be JOY FLIGHTS FOR ROSEWOODITES etc.
