AddBy: Kathryn Rodgers3rd Aug 2022 9:44AMWendy and Ted Sellars owned and ran Supa Valu. Wendy and my Mother Daphne Irene Rodgers nee Forrester were great friends and neighbours. I was taught Science at Rosewood State School by Mrs Sellars.
I recall our family spending a weekend at SEFTON the Sellars home on the beach at Surfers Paradise with them. We all enjoyed an exciting ride in their brightly coloured speedboat. This was a great privilege.
I my brother Shane and sister Julie rode pushbikes after School in our quiet Street with Ross and Suellyn Sellars. Mum and Wendy chatted on the Sellars front lawn and watched us often.
As Children the five of us used Supa Valu boxes to make Cubby Houses together under the tank stand at our Rodgers home at 9 Makepeace St Rosewood.
Ross Sellars became Doctor Ross Sellars. Shane Rodgers was first employed at Supa Valu enthusiastically packing boxes at the Checkout on Saturday mornings. He met many Rosewoodites. YOU TUBE SEARCH Shane Rodgers Expo Media. Julie nee Rodgers was Year 10 Dux at Rosewood High School.
This photo was taken as part of a Photography Assignment when I studied at the KELVIN GROVE COLLEGE OF ADVANCED EDUCATION now QUT.
