By: Warwick L Aldham10th Dec 2023 10:50AMHenry and Harriet were my great great grandparents. They migrated to QLD in about 1860. Beforehand they were farmers in Worcestershire, he was a JP and church warden. They also farmed in Fernvale. Their surviving son Harcourt married the next door neighbour in Fernvale QLD Mary Jane Jones who parents were farmers in Fernvale too. Henry and Harriet built the local Anglican Church on their farm and also the town cricket pitch. Their building were destroyed in the flood of the Brisbane river in 1893(?). The crossing over the Brisbane river adjacent to their property was called Aldham Crossing until the bridge was built.
