Bundamba Railway Station
Description
History
The line between Ipswich and Sherwood through Bundamba was opened on 5 October 1874. The shelter shed and office was built by John Raymonds, a contract being let on 21 September 1896.
in 1906, a Ladies' room, telephone exchange, lamp room and closet were added and an office was included at a later date.
A coal line extending to Blackstone from a siding and miners' platform was constructed in 1881. The nearby Bundamba Racecourse was serviced by this line, but the racecourse platform has been removed. An early photo shows a Signal Cabin on the northern side of the line.
