John Eccles received a Ticket of Leave for Ipswich.

The Moreton Bay Courier reported on Wednesday 25 August 1858:

John Eccles, a ticket of leave man, was brought before the Court charged with using threatening language towards Mrs. Kendall. Case dismissed.

Colonel Gray administered a severe admonition to Mrs. Kendall, whose house, it appears, is not one of a most respectable character.

The same prisoner was then charged with being illegally in town, he having on the 17th instant been ordered to leave in 24 hours. Ordered to be returned to Cockatoo. Ticket cancelled.

In August 1884 a man named John Eccles appeared before the Court for drunkenness and was discharged with a caution.
