The Ipswich Court of Petty Sessions in 1849 noted that Elizabeth Carroll of "Sarah & Elizabeth" 1837 was brought up being illegally out of her district of Port Macquarie. Elizabeth wrote to Maitland for her Ticket of Leave.
At the age of 18, Elizabeth was granted permission to marry on 26 October 1837. Her husband to be was 25 year old Edward Walker - Bond (life), per ship Planter J Cross, Port Macquarie.
