DescriptionThis image is thought to have been taken inside the Wagon Erecting Shop. The Railway Workshops were first opened in 1864. During its peak, over 3,000 people worked there and over 200 steam locomotives were constructed on site. The Workshops Rail Museum, a campus of the Queensland Museum, was opened in 2002.
