William Hayes, alias Jones, charged with escaping from the custody of the Goulburn Police while enroute for Berrima, is believed to be identical with William Young, a Ticket-of-Leave holder for the District of Ipswich, but at present illegally at large. Young is charged with absconding from the hired service of William Cowper, of Goomurra, near Warwick. (See Report of Crime of 7th November, 1859)
