Griffith Road, No. 3, Eastern Heights
An early owner of the property was Edward Grace.
The small 1800s timber cottage was originally located on the corner of Griffith Road and Menzies Lane. It was relocated on the block c.1955 which is when the garage seems to have been constructed. The brick house was built in 1962 for Mr. G. C. Denman. He lived in the family home (brick house) and his father Charles Edward Denman lived in the small cottage until his death in February 1983. The cottage was then used as a storage shed.
C. E. Denman is listed in the Universal Business Guide of 1956 under Monumental Mason's. The directory advertisement reads:
All Classes of Masonry Work. Head Stones Supplied and Erected. Epitaphs Cut
