Warrill Park Lawn Cemetery
Description
Dates1971-History
Warrill Park Lawn Cemetery opened in 1971 and was operated by the Ipswich Cemetery Trust. Ipswich City Council became the trustee for the cemetery in 1979.
The cemetery is primarily a lawn grave cemetery with a large open landscape of lawns. The cemetery also features many peaceful memorial gardens and columbarium walls.
The southern side of the cemetery grounds are occupied by a remnant stand of endangered Melaleuca irbyana (swamp tea tree) forest.
