Mrs Edwin Evans, of Goodna, gives a slice of honey arrowroot sponge to her 19 year old daughter, Claire (a trainee-nurse at Ipswich). Mrs Evans made all the delicious cakes and biscuits shown on the table and put honey in every one. 'Queenie' Elsie Llewella Evans (nee Jones) was the wife of Ted Evans, who inaugurated the Australian Honey Institute in 1947 and was its manager.
