DescriptionOn Melbourne Cup day 1932, engineers W.J. (Bill) O'Brien and Harry Norville started their own business. Breville is a derivative of their surnames, O'Brien-Norville.

Originally producing radios, they expanded into kitchen appliances in the 1960s.
