DescriptionThis building was the original Queensland Ambulance Transport Brigade hospital, located on the corner of Downs and Flint Street, North Ipswich.

The ambulance service in Ipswich commenced on the 4th November 1901, as a sub-branch of Brisbane, becoming autonomous in 1906.

The two-story stucco building, on this site, was erected in 1918 to replace the earlier double-storey wooden building.Additional Information Model created by members of the Ipswich Mini Crafters.
