Description
The Garden Competition run by the Queensland Times Proprietary Ltd and Messrs. Cribb and Foote Ltd were looking to expand the competition for the Jubilee year in 1951. The organisers considered allowing entries from country towns in the West Moreton area. Those towns were Harrisville, Kalbar, Boonah, Rosewood, Laidley, Forest Hill, Gatton, Lowood, Esk and Toogoolawah.
Mr. W. C. Haigh won the main class in the Ipswich Jubilee Garden competition in 1951 for his garden in Murphy Street, Ipswich.
