The seventh annual Design, Heritage and Environment Awards was held on 17 April 1998 at Ivory's Rock Conference Centre. The Master of Ceremonies was Frank Warrick, Channel 7 newsreader and presenter. The Guest Presenter was Edward Haysom, President of the Royal Australian Institute of Architects, Queensland Charter.
