The sixteenth annual Design, Heritage, Environment and Student Awards was held at The University of Southern Queensland, Springfield Campus. The Master of Ceremonies was Ashleigh Mac and the Guest Presenter was Andrew Fraser, Minister for Local Government, Planning, Sport and Recreation.

- Overall Student Award for Excellence: ‘Multifunction Restaurant – Architectural Design' - Year 12 Graphics Class of 2005 from Ipswich Girls Grammar School
