Description
DescriptionSnow Currie, then owner of Currie Motors, with Errol 'Boggy' 'Scorcher' Bognuda in front of a Datsun car at Currie Motors.
Snow Currie was the owner of Currie Motors.
Errol Bognuda was part of the original Holden Precision Driving Team which formed in the early 1970s under the vision of Lloyd Robertson. Robertson had been inspired by the precision driving team his own father participated in during the 1940s- though Lloyd's father drove ponies drawing carts in the Pony Precision Team rather than the Holden V8s that were the fan and driver favourites of the Holden Precision Driving Team.
The Holden Precision Driving Team performed their show for over forty years at the Ekka and other regional shows, as well as events overseas.
When Holden ended their support of the team, Hyundai cars were used. Eventually, Holden returned as the main sponsor until 2006.
Errol was also a life member former president of the Ipswich West Moreton Auto Club.References (online)Errol lived life at full throttle - David Lems - The Courier Mail - 24 February 2006 - [Accessed 22nd June 2024]Holden Precision Team how it all started - Flashback - Seven News -VALE ERROL (SCORCHER) BOGNUDA - Brisport - March 2006 - [Accessed 22 June 2024]
