2014 Design, Heritage, Environment and Student Awards

The twenty-third Annual Awards for Excellence in Design, Heritage, Environment and Student categories was held on 14 October 2014 at the Ipswich Civic Hall. The guest speaker was Judge Michael Rackemann, Judge of the Planning and Environment Court and of the District Court of Queensland, who also presented the awards. The Master of Ceremonies was Ashleigh Mac.

• Overall Heritage Award for Excellence: 14 Mt Crosby Road, Tivoli

• Overall Environment Award for Excellence: "Revegetation of Wallaby Ware Park and Smith Park" - Ipswich Grammar School Agriculture and Horticulture Students
• Overall Student Award for Excellence: "My River Bremer" - Ipswich Schools Unite

Amex Design Awards

• A Gold Award was presented to Cox Rayner Architects for "Ipswich Government Office Building – ICON"
• A Gold Award was presented to QLD Fire and Rescue Service and the Public Safety Business Agency for the "Ripley Valley Fire and Rescue Station"
• A Silver Award was presented to Tamika Hudson and Garry Drapper – "Beans & Greens Organic Café", 61 Limestone Street, Ipswich
