Description
DescriptionMerv Volker started to research names on Railway Honour Boards in 2007, of course not knowing how long it would take, writing every bit of research out by hand.
With the aid of Irma Deas, from the Ipswich Genealogical Society, Merv's completed work is a record of Queensland Rail employees who enlisted in the Anglo Boer War (1899-1902) and the Great War (1914-1918). It also includes the names of munition workers at the Ipswich and Rockhampton Railway Workshops, the employees who sailed to the United Kingdom to work in munition factories, the men who reported to garrison duty at Rabaul and at Thursday Island.
