DescriptionThe Blackstone – Ipswich Cambrian Choir, photographed in front of the side steps of the Technical College, Limestone Street, Ipswich. The choir, along with the Toowoomba Philharmonic Choir, was preparing to travel, by steam ship, to Ballarat to take part in the Grand National Eisteddfod of Australia, held early October 1908. The Cambrian Male Choir came second in the Male Chorus section. The full choir was named Grand Champions at the event. The Cambrian Choir was established in 1886.
