Description
DescriptionButtonsville was built in the early 1890s by Edward John Easton, who became known as "the squire of Buttonsville" The property included several acres of land, with stables in Clifton Street. Easton was successful in the racing industry and Buttonsville is named after Easton's horse Buttons who won the Queensland Cup in 1889. Easton was the Mayor of Ipswich in 1919. The house has a long ridge hipped roof. (The house was renovated, and won an Ipswich City Council Heritage Award in 2015)
