Description
DescriptionGeneral Birdwood arrived at East Ipswich Station and a parade proceeded along Chermside Road, passing houses at No. 85 and 86. He presented 1914-1915 medals to Servicemen at Queen's Park, and then proceeded to the Central Gardens (63 Nicholas Street), where he laid the Foundation Stone for the Soldiers' Memorial Hall.
