DescriptionSeries of images of the Hancock Bros. forests and sawmill at North Ipswich. "Thomas Hancock entered the timber business in the 1860s, and the fourth generation of the family was still running Hancock Brothers plywood mill at North Ipswich in the 1990s. The factory was extended and upgraded several times during this decade, and new products were introduced including plywood decking for timber bridges. In 1995, Boral bought the company and is now known as Boral Hancock Plywood, keeping the family name for its historic associations and because it had a long standing high reputation". Boral closed in 2011
