Dinmore State School opened 19 January 1891 and closed on 31 December 2009.
Mr. Glassey, M.L.A. applied for the grant of land for a school at Dinmore in 1889. The first head teacher was Mr. W. J. Lynch, he and his sister were transferred from the Redbank Plains School. In 1891 there were 110 children enrolled at the school and seven classes. At a gala event held in May of that year a tree was planted along the front fence for each class. The following year on Arbor Day an additional 6 trees were planted, one for each class.
