Description

DescriptionBiddenham Station was located on the banks of the Nive River, near Augathella, Western Queensland. The station was originally two: Burrandilla on the eastern side of the Nive (then a cattle station run by the McLean family) and Biddenham, to the west. Biddenham was first taken up by a Mr Missing around 1863, with several owners of the property over the following decades. In 1875, the station area was described as 140 square miles, consisting of plains and myall country. Aside from the Nive River, the Warrego river and Parrattamow creek also went through the property, providing water. The station could carry over 13,000 sheep.
