DescriptionJohn Whybird lived in this area at one time. John had migrated to Australia in 1857 and worked for ‘Hassel & Hogg’. After they ceased business, he received a horse and dray in lieu of wages and started as ‘For Hire’ drayman. The actual date is unknown. This was the start of the Whybird removalist business. In 1905 John Whybird became ill and died in October 1905. His son, Henry, carried on the business.
