Description

DescriptionMachinery being dismantled for removal to Bingera. The Marburg Sugar Mill was started in 1882 by Thomas Lorimer Smith, who also built Woodlands. In 1905, the Mill was sold to the Gibson family, experienced sugar farmers and mill owners, who operated Bingera Plantation near Bundaberg. The mill closed in 1918. References (offline)R.
