DescriptionAudio of 14 minute interview where the Councillor talks of advising many people in flood prone areas that they should make arrangements to evacuate, unfortunately some didn't listen. He talks about the huge psychological boost that was gained by teams from the (National Rugby League) NRL and the (Australian Football League) AFL who visited people in the flood affected areas and Shane Watson who came and played cricket with some of the flood affected children. He specifically recalls a lady who drove up from Victoria in her Kombi van, set up at the Goodna RSL, rolled out her BBQ and cooked for three weeks. Cr Attwood talks about the lessons learnt and that he hopes between floods we don't forget. The floods occurred in January and peaked on Wednesday 12 January.
