Description
DescriptionText of 17 minute interview where Robyn talks about her time spent working with the SES during the flood, rescuing people and animals in their boats and working at headquarters. She felt this was a good thing for her to do to take her mind off what was happening at her house particularly as there wasn't anything she could do there until the water receded. She also found it helpful to see other people who were experiencing the same thing and being able to help them. She talks about making trips home at various times to gather some personal items and rescue their pets and seeing the progression of the water up into the second level of their house. She talks about the work getting their house liveable again and moving back into a house that doesn't feel like your home. The floods occurred in January and peaked on Wednesday 12 January. More detailed information can be found in the local newspapers and media.
