DescriptionText and audio of 18 minute interview where the Councillor speaks of doorknocking homes in her Division a few days before the flood to advise that they may be at risk of flooding. She talks of helping to evacuate residents to the showgrounds and later to St Joseph's Hall along with their pets. She speaks of the volunteers both at the Hall and in the streets during the flood and with the clean up and of the ongoing work involved in settling people back into their homes. The floods occurred in January and peaked on Wednesday 12 January. More detailed information can be found in the local newspapers and media.
