DescriptionSeries of images of houses on Challinor Street. Nos. 22, 28, 34, 36, 38, 40. Probably named after Dr Henry Challinor who came to Queensland as a doctor on board the immigrant ship 'Fortitude'. He was a member of Queensland Parliament in 1863 and 1867.( House at No. 22 was previously known as 'Baileys' Lodge' then ˜Yarrum Lodge' This house was built for James Frederick Collcott in 1864. House at No. 28 is believed to have been surveyed around 1880. It is believed the kitchen had a shingled roof until the 1950s.
